A wine sampling to complement your meal is also provided.  Class prepared menus include our Chicken Marsala, Pan-Seared Pork Tenderloin with Raisin Black Pepper Brandy Sauce and chef-prepared roasted vegetables.   Want to master the basics of other cooking techniques? Islamic Women’s Rights Expert, Activist to Speak at Hilbert

HAMBURG, N.Y. – Temporary marriage, a controversial practice in author Nadia Shahram’s native Iran, will be addressed by the Islamic women’s rights expert and activist at the Hilbert College Visiting Artist Series presented by the college’s English Department.

Published last spring, “Marriage On the Street Corners of Tehran” will be the highlight of Shahram’s discussion at 7:30 p.m. April 7 in Hilbert’s William E. Swan Auditorium.

Shahram will talk about temporary marriage, a practice when a man and woman enter into a “marriage” for a set price and a short time limit, as well as its history and what often prompts women to become short-term wives. She will read from her novel with a question and answer period to follow.
