Keeping Kids Safe Online: Parent Program on Internet Safety

The Williamsville Central School District will present a special parent program about keeping children safe online. "The Internet: Protecting Children Online", will be held Monday, January 30 from 6:30 -7:30 p.m. at Mill Middle School, 505 Mill Street. Kathy Gust, program director for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, New York Branch, will be the guest speaker.

The program, sponsored by the district's elementary wellness facilitators, is for parents of elementary-age children. Ms. Gust will address the risks to children using chat rooms, web browsers, and other online resources. She will share practical tips on what parents can do to keep their children safe on the Internet.

The program is free and open to the public but geared for adults only; no children please.
