March of Dimes Celebrates Annual Signature Chefs Auction

The March of Dimes, Western New York Division presents the 2010 Signature Chefs Auction, “Feathers & Flair, A March of Dimes Monte Carlo Affair” on Friday, October 8 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel. Western New York’s finest chefs will offer their signature dishes coupled with wine tastings from regional wineries and accompanied by an array of unique live and silent auction items and entertainment. Everyone is invited to attend the evening, which raises money and awareness to save babies from prematurity, birth defects and infant mortality.

This year’s event promises to be an elegant night with some of the best restaurants in town. Featured dishes will be prepared by Alex’s Place, Blue Buffalo, Chef’s Restaurant, Fiamma Steak House, Harry’s Harbour Place Grille, Koi, La Scala, My Tomato Pie, Protocol Restaurant and Rich Renaissance Catering. Wine selections will be offered by Merritt Estate Winery.

Large Crowd at Taste of Williamsville

More than a dozen restaurants offered up several items at the annual Taste of Williamsville in Island Park on Sunday.

Organizers moved the event to a weekend after hearing several requests from residents.

Food Tents were also removed from the shelter in order to give people more space to sit and eat.
