HockeyTowneUSA Fan Fest Coming to Downtown Buffalo

The world is coming to Buffalo ... and we’re throwing a party!

HockeyTowne USA Fan Fest, four days of fun for kids, moms, dads and hockey enthusiasts, is coming to the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center in downtown Buffalo December 26-29. Admission is just $5 per person, and children 12 and under are free with a paid adult admission.

A private VIP party featuring The Boys of Summer will be held on Sunday, December 26. HockeyTowne USA Fan Fest will then open to the public from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, December 27 and Tuesday, December 28, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Santa Serves Up Pancakes at Williamsville Applebee's to Benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation

The Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurant in Williamsville, NY is currently selling tickets for its “Breakfast with Santa” fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, December 11 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Each ticket is $5 and includes pancakes, bacon, coffee and juice. Santa Claus will be on hand at area Applebee’s joining the festivities and 100 percent of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the local Make-A-Wish Foundation chapter. 

Tickets for “Breakfast with Santa” are now available at any of the Applebee’s locations across Western New York including the Amherst restaurant at 5017 Transit Road, Williamsville, NY 14221. Last year, Applebee’s restaurants across New York State and Connecticut raised nearly $38,000 through its “Breakfast with Santa” event.

Saint Benedict School to Celebrate the Drummer Boy Mass

St. Benedict School is having their annual Drummer Boy Mass on Thursday, December 16, 2010 in the church at 10am.  St. Benedict School is located at 3980 Main Street, Amherst, NY 14226.  The whole student body and faculty process into the church bringing wrapped Christmas Gifts to be given to La Casa – a local refugee house in Buffalo. 

The music from ‘The Drummer Boy’ is played and a special 2nd grade boy is chosen as the Drummer Boy to lead the procession. This special annual tradition at St. Benedict School will surely grip your heart and will remind you of the true meaning of Christmas.

A Busy Week Ahead at Annunciation School in Elma

You can tell the holiday season is upon us, and Annunciation School in Elma is full of the holiday spirit.

The eighth grade class is sponsoring a Christmas tree sale under the school’s pavilion from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, December 3; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, December 4; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, December 5.

Boy Scout Troop 325 will be conducting a bottle and can drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 4, in the church parking lot. Proceeds will help the Scouts purchase necessary camping and cooking equipment.

This puppy and countless others like him have been saved thanks to the work done every day at Pet Connection Programs Inc., a nonprofit maternity and urgent care animal shelter in Marilla. Every year, hundreds of dogs, cats, kittens, puppies and other animals are nursed to health and adopted to a loving home thanks to this shelter.
