Comedy Fest for WNY trees rolls into Williamsville

The 2nd Annual comedy festival to benefit Re-Tree WNY goes on stage tonight (August 21st) at 7pm at Robs Comedy Playhouse in Williamsville.

Called "Leaves & Laughs", it features three comics including Rob Lederman, who's a frequent guest on The Tonight Show, Late Night, and other network TV shows.

A basket raffle and 50-50 will take place to help replenish the charity's treasury to buy trees for the upcoming volunteer fall planting.

Rob's Comedy Playhouse is inside Dandelion's Restaurant at 1340 N. Forest Rd. near Maple.  Tickets are $25 and available at the door.  Includes admission and two free drinks.

Additional information on Re-Tree WNY is at www.re-treewny.org.

Large Crowd at Taste of Williamsville

More than a dozen restaurants offered up several items at the annual Taste of Williamsville in Island Park on Sunday.

Organizers moved the event to a weekend after hearing several requests from residents.

Food Tents were also removed from the shelter in order to give people more space to sit and eat.
