Audubon Society Celebrates 102nd Annual Dinner

The 2010 Annual Dinner of the Buffalo Audubon Society will be held on Wednesday, May 4.

Lee Harper of Riveredge Associates in Massena NY will be the speaker.  His topic will be Restoring Common Terns to New York's Great Lakes and Rivers.  Mr. Harper has worked extensively along the Niagara River and in the Buffalo Harbor in a project sponsored by the New York Power Authority.

The Society will also present the annual Harry J. Kord Recognition Award, which is presented to any individual or organization whose efforts have furthered conservation in our area during the past year. The Sheldon E. Merritt Distinguished Service Award will also be presented.  This award is presented to an individual to recognize outstanding volunteer efforts in support of the Buffalo Audubon Society.

The 102nd dinner will be held at Protocol Restaurant, 6766 Transit Road in Williamsville.  A cash Bar at 5:30 will be followed by dinner at 6:00.  The cost is $30 per person.
